A decade ago, Jane decided to pursue her life-long dream

of opening her own restaurant. She set up shop in a long-defunct diner in the sleepy border town of Derby Line, VT, and quickly gained her reputation as the best breakfast cook and pie-maker this side of almost anywhere. 

These days she is just up the street in a small cafe that locals can't get enough of. Jane's is the kind of place where if you mention something you haven't had in years, like rhubarb-strawberry pie or Queen Elizabeth cake, chances are the next time you come in she has one waiting for you.

Her pastry is made with all-butter, and from-scratch buttermilk biscuits come with breakfast. You won't find any mixes or canned fillings in anything she serves, and your order will come with a warm smile and as much friendly conversation as you feel like.
